Saftronics successfully installed a 1400kW, 6.6kV Medium Voltage Variable Speed Drive (VSD), also known as a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), at the processing plant of a new gold mine in Greece. The VSD drives a 1MW pump responsible for delivering water to the top of the processing plant, supporting the filtration and flotation stages of the operation. Reliable operation of this pump is essential to maintaining a consistent water supply for these critical processing activities, helping to ensure efficient plant performance.

Despite a tight project timeline, close collaboration between the project management and technical teams ensured the unit was manufactured, delivered to site, and ready for commissioning within 16 weeks. The successful delivery of the project demonstrates Saftronics’ ability to provide high-performance medium-voltage drive solutions while meeting demanding schedules and the needs of large-scale industrial operations.
