Power Rectifiers
& Transformers
Power rectifiers are a critical component in many industrial processes, particularly in mining, metallurgy, electrochemical processing, and electrowinning operations. A rectifier converts alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC), providing the stable and controlled power required for processes such as metal extraction, electroplating, electrorefining, and chemical production.

DC Rectifiers
SAFTRONICS have designed a unique system of incorporating not only the rectifier stack but also the controls, cooling system, trickle charger and power circuit, into a 6m air-conditioned container. This unit with a rating of up to 12MW per container allows ruggedness, ease of installation and redundancy in the most versatile manner possible. Coupled with our multi-phase phasing system these containerized units can be coupled to almost any transformer to supply power when and where required.
IGBT Rectifiers
The working principle of an IGBT Rectifier is, Three phase AC input is converted to DC through rectification and filter, then DC voltage is transformed to DC output through phase shift full bridge PWM DC/DC converter.
Switch mode rectifiers are designed to give best electrical performance for electroplating/ anodizing process and get excellent plating quality, to replace diode or SCR based oil cooling rectifiers thanks to its many economical benefits to the user. The rectifiers are modular design, module power up to 30kW for air cooling, up to 40kw for water cooling, reducing user’s power consumption and integrated with ampere hour control for dosing system, timer control and RS485, Profibus, Profinet etc. series communication interface.
Cobalt Rectifiers
Cobalt extraction through electrowinning processes requires specialized rectifier systems capable of delivering extremely stable DC output over extended production cycles. Cobalt rectifiers are specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements of battery-grade cobalt production, which is increasingly important in industries such as electric vehicles, energy storage, and advanced electronics.
These rectifiers provide:
- Consistent DC power for high-purity cobalt deposition
- High reliability for continuous plant operation
- Advanced cooling and protection systems
- Optimized performance for hydrometallurgical processing plants
As global demand for cobalt continues to grow, particularly in the battery and renewable energy sectors, reliable rectifier technology is essential for ensuring efficient and sustainable production.
